Annapolis families climb into their private treehouse retreats
About 15 feet up, in a sweetgum tree just south of Annapolis, sits a castle.
Pierre and Nancy Moitrier, a couple who co-owns the landscaping firm Designs for Greener Gardens, may seem older than the usual treehouse inhabitants, but this is no ordinary treehouse. It’s built from old barn siding, salvaged antique windows and cedar shingles; Pierre offset the weathered materials with a chandelier dangling inside.
“It was to fulfill a childhood dream,” Pierre says. “Nancy thought I was crazy, but she let me go ahead.”
